Automated data recognition in detail

An important element of DirectInvoiceControl is the automated data analysis and information extraction: Immediately after scanning an intelligent software system extracts all relevant information from the invoice documents.

It is specialized to cope with a multitude of document layouts, as each vendor uses an own invoice layout. Invoices in supported languages do no longer need special training methods or extra customizing. High recognition rate is achieved for invoice header data right from the start. Benefits of computer aided recognition are obvious: Data entry starts right from scanning in the mail room. Data streams of bits and bytes are multiple times faster than slow paper mail forwarding. At the same time typing errors are reduced and precious ressources of high-skilled financial specialists are saved.

Validation to control and maintain high data quality

Validation is an optional intermediate step, which is only used in cases of uncertain extraction data quality. At a special validation workplace the scanned invoice images are checked against their extracted data and can easily be corrected. This task can be carried out without demanding great skill.

A comfortable viewer shows all recognized, interpreted and assigned information. Right beside you can inspect the digital scan of the original document as it is stored in the electronic archive. A smart viewer technology  links and highlights data fields and corresponding fields in on the images. Validation is not always a must, but always an option.
