AFI - a reliable partner

2010

• AFI keeps its momentum and achieves another most successful business year.
• More and more customers roll out their implementation of DirectInvoiceControl for an automated invoice management in SAP® on an international scale with help from AFI.
• Extended synergies evolve in connected implementations with supply chain management solutions from AFI´s sister company AEB, e.g. in freight invoice checks and approval.
• An easy solution for master data management in SAP® is now also available from AFI with the new Optimizer.
• The AFI branch office in Cologne moves to a new address and doubles its workforce in the same time.

2009

• Against the odds of economic climate 2009 became another most successful business year for AFI.
• Several new projects were won by AFI in the established fields of document and archiving solutions for SAP®.
• AFI received its biggest single order in 2009 for a DirectInvoiceControl project to manage vendor invoices in SAP® efficiently.
• Further AFI software solutions were created and integrated into the portfolio, while DirectAgents and DirectOrderControl are established furthermore.
• AFI personnel rose to more than 50 people, which resulted in a total of more than 330 employees in Group P.M.Belz.

2008

• 2008 turned out to become the third most successful business year of AFI in a row. This was mostly achieved by winning more customer projects for the DirectInvoiceControl components to enable automated invoice management in SAP.
• AFI also succeeded in winning and maintaining projects in document management and archiving, as well as establishing the solution DirectOrderControl for an advanced customer order management in SAP.
• In order to round off the product portfolio AFI developed the "DirectAgents" as small, convenient solutions for DMS in SAP, e.g. to attach emails or further paper documents to any SAP transaction.
• AFI personnel grew up to 40, so Group P.M.Belz in total now has more than 300 employees.

2007

• DirectInvoiceControl is our focus also in 2007: Until the end of the year the number of users of the solution exceeds 20,000, helping to process and release more than 13,000 vendor invoices per day (more than 3.5 million invoices per year).
• AFI further extends its product portfolio for structured document processing in SAP: After a successful market rollout of DirectOrderControl for an efficient processing of customer orders, the new DirectScan4SAP allows fast and easy document attachment in any SAP Business Object with any scanner.
• Another most successful business year in history leads to further personel recruitment: At the end of the year more than 280 employees work at group P.M. Belz - with 35 employees only working in SAP development and project management for DirectInvoiceControl.
• In order to fulfill our responsibility as a producer of software solutions and to improve exchange of experiences and best practices with and among users of our products, AFI held its user roundtable event for members of financial accounting departments at the Neue Messe (new trade fair area) in Stuttgart.
  

2006

• Our modular solution DirectInvoiceControl has a strong position in the market: With the "automated invoice management in SAP" becoming a trend and by implementing sophisticated functionality, AFI wins more often against long-time established competitors.
• Many new partners trust AFI by integrating the SAP componentes into their product portfolio.
• SAPERION and AFI implement together with DOCS.ON powerful and innovative DMS installations including LifeCycleManagement.
• Jörg Günther is appointed as CEO of AFI by Mr. Peter M. Belz.
• After a rather cautious start of the year 2006 strong innovations and accumulated needs result in the most successful business year of AFI, leading to further recruitment.

2005

• Our special focus on small and medium sized businesses and the refactoring of DirectInvoiceControl brings results: It is implemented for PMB, TWF and Boehringer to assist users in automated vendor invoice processing in SAP.
• SAPERION appoints AFI with DOCS.ON as premium partner.
• AFI becomes technology partner of DMS producer SAPERION for SAP and invoice management.
• By offering extended services with "Support Plus" AFI delivers support and customer services 24/7 for Minol, the City of Reutlingen, GEZ and EPCOS.
• AFI implements an EDI archiving solution for KNV of Stuttgart with the option to archive EDI data stream revision-secure in SAPERION and help to visualize its content with a "look-alike" document in plain-text.

2004

• With the new solution "DirectInvoiceControl" for automated and controlled processing of vendor invoices AFI combines the headlines scanning, archiving, EDI and SAP integration.
• GEZ (German central radio and television toll collecting agency) chooses AFI for input and output letter management.
• AFI develops a shipping control integrated in SAP for handling units of Leitz, Zuffenhausen.
• BGFE of Cologne, an employers insurance association chooses AFI to implement a solution for electronic document management with digital signature.
• AFI implements an electronic color documents archiving solution for the financial department of the City of Reutlingen.

2003

• Bringing together 5 of the leading SAPERION partners of southern Germany, AFI is becoming a part of the biggest national Document Solution Network: DOCS.ON GmbH.
• AFI develops a NCTS customs handling system fully integrated in SAP for its sister company AEB.
• Data conversion hub ACMS has been extended to process further data formats, e.g. Tradacom-messages being used in international projects in England.
  
  

2002

• AFI joins the SAPERION-TopSellerClub of the Top5 SAPERION partners.
• Our support team provides first its 24 hours a day, 7 days per week services to EPCOS. Reacting on problem tickets within a time of 30 minutes is a milestone in service and support organization of AFI.

2001

• DMS producer SAPERION in Berlin and AFI in Stuttgart establish a new partnership and strengthen their market position in southern Germany.
• ACMS is certified in connection with SAP workplace.

2000

• Major project in SAP R/3 for EPCOS AG.
• The city of Stuttgart is starting a pilot project for a municipal accounting based in SAP R/3 (IS-PS). AFI provides a fully integrated archive solution.

1999

• Our archive interface is certified for SAP R/3-ArchiveLink.
• ACMS is certified as EDI-Tool by SAP.

1998

• First implementation of a digital archive solution for customs and shipping documents (ASSIST4 Archive) for our sisters company AEB product ASSIST4

• Start of SAP interface and connectivity consultation.
• Implementation of scanning and archiving solution for city treasury of the city of Stuttgart

1996

• Major project to develop and implement an automated correspondence letter generator with checks included for federal broadcasting SDR in Stuttgart.

• Starting solution development of document management
